For Sale: 1971 Lola T222 Can Am Originally driven by Dave Causey, this Lola 222 Can Am car features a 900 Hp + Roush built engine. The car has been raced over the past 20 years and has been maintained to the highest standards, making it one of the fastest Can Am cars in the US today. With very few DNFs (Did Not Finishes), the Lola runs and drives spot on. In 1990, Bud Bennett and RM Motorsports purchased the vehicle and did a complete restoration. Bennett and the RM team have raced the Lola at Vintage Can Am events throughout North America and Europe, where the car repeatedly proved to be among the fastest Can Am vintage racers. WeatherTech International Challenge TRACK RECAP

The WeatherTech International Challenge (WIC) race at Road America in July was busy and successful. 14 cars were race prepared, transported to the race with full track support. A full range of race cars could be found under the RM Motorsports (RM) tent, CAN AM cars from a 1966 Lola T70 MKII B originally driven by Parnelli Jones to the 1974 Championship Shadow DN4-1A originally, raced by Jackie Oliver. Formula cars were represented by two F5000 cars and the Championship winning 1994 Reynard Indy Car, originally driven by Jacques Villeneuve. Additional cars of interest were a 1971 Chevron B19, Devin and a 2015 Ferrari 458 that raced in the Ferrari Challenge Series. Mid Summer Heat

Summer is in full swing here at the shop.  We are busy helping our customers get the most out of this great weather.  Program updates, race set-ups, system diagnosis & repairs are all happening here at RM.  Many vehicles are getting the final touches before the big cruise season hits here in MI.  As well as the race guys preparing for the second half of the season. Our race team in on the road heading to Laguna.  The Monterey Motorsports Reunion is right around the corner.  This year proves to be one of the most exciting as we are bringing Jim Bartel’s freshly rebuilt Shadow DN4.  If you are out at the event please stop by our pits to say hello and check out the exciting vehicles on display.        

Custom Headers

We are about to wrap up a set of SS equal length headers here at the shop.  This Trans Am Mustang has seen an all new powertrain system.  One more step down before first fire then testing soon.  RM can handle any and all exhaust work from a custom header build like this to a simple repair.  Check out our media galleries for more of the work our amazing fabricators put out each week.
